It’s hard to not smile when thinking of Shelly. She’s so many things. Think of her like this: She’s totally hot, has an incredible sense of humor, is like Snow White when it comes to animals, loves the Packers, is a natural at modeling, which lead her into producing and directing, and now Shelly is designing. If I was abandoned on a desert island and had my choice of people to be there with me, Shelly would be top of the list. Here’s a little interview I did with her.
Please state your name.
Whatever pay’s the bill’s lately!
Where do you live?
Where are you from?
How did you get involved with WeSC?
My dear friend Amy Gunther introduced us, it was love at first sight.
Can you explain what a We Activist is?
I don’t think we are supposed to discuss it. It does involve some secret weekly meetings. That’s all I can say.
Do you know any dirty Swedish words or expressions?
Have you met Jason Lee?
How did your tee design come about?
I love it! It’s a video still from some footage I shot in Namibia while
on a safari. There’s a lioness chilling in the tree line, lioness’s
are the coolest.
When did you start skateboarding?
I was 14. It was a beer city skateboard!
What do you love about Brooklyn?
Mmm, so many things. I love being only 5 min away from the city; it’s a bit more peaceful here.
And I can see stars and fireflies in the summer. So many different neighborhoods here. I heart the BK.
What do you love about KCDC?
What is there not to love?
Do you remember when we first met?
So clearly, summer of 96, Lafayette and Spring by Supreme, you were with Harold Hunter…and you had corn roles! You guy’s welcomed me hard to NYC…thanks for that.
Rob Gonyon wants to know your favorite position?
Downtown baby! Haha.
Check out Shelly’s shirt here.
